Anticlockwise - The right path of nature

I have been wondering for quite a while, why clock turn clockwise? When searched on the internet, the simplest answer was that it has to do with the sundials, which were the first clocks, at least as they claimed to be.

In the northern hemisphere, the earth rotates counter-clockwise, which means that from our point of view the sun appears to move across the sky in a clockwise directon. Therefore, if you build a sundial to tell time, the shadows will move across it in a clockwise direction.

With mechanical clocks, one could of course make them go around either way, but the earliest ones were presumably designed to turn the same way as the shadows on a sundial do, simply because that is what people back then were used to.

What this means, by the way, is that if mechanical clocks had originated in the southern hemisphere, the ones we use today would probably go around in the other direction, that is what we call anti-clockwise nowadays.


Why do athletes have to race around the track in an anti-clockwise direction?

When the athlete runs, the Earth's spin, the direction of wind, the centripetal acceleration come into act. They directly contribute on the runner's speed, his heart iota to be exact, which is situated to the left, they are a contributing forces. Hence....

The Superior vena-cava collects de-oxygenated blood to the heart aided by heart suction. This vein carries blood from left to right. Centrifugal force due to anticlockwise running helps this suction. If we run clockwise, the centrifugal force impedes suction. That is why, in olden days, health officers ensured that all carnival merry-go-rounds were run only in the anti-clockwise direction. As the heart is on the left side, for humans and animals, running anticlockwise makes the centrifugal force in the body to act from left to right. Whereas it is from right to left for clockwise running. Racing tracks, animal shows in circuses, bullock-drawn pelt on wheels, all mostly have only left turns. Stairways in temple towers have only left turns for going up. Clockwise running tires people.

Tawaf rotation is the basis of nature

"And it is He who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon; 

 all [heavenly bodies] in an orbit are swimming"

[Surah Al Anbiya' verse 33]

The Quran verse above explains to us in a scientific viewpoint about the system of the universe, whereby all move on their respective orbit sand tracks.  All the planets, moons and stars will not collide with one another as long as Allah wills it as such; these movements are those of Sunnatullah or the movement of the norms.  The earth circles around the sun for a year in one direction, the moon circles around the earth for a month on one direction and all the planets in the universe circle the sun in one direction known as the Tawaf Movement (Anti-clockwise).

In actuality, the law of the movement of the universe or the law of rotation of Tawaf Movement does not only involve objects on space but it also involves Allah’s creatures as small as atom particles, which are only visible under the microscope.   The electron in the atom also moves on its own axis then it spins around the atom nucleus following the Tawaf Movement.   Concrete, fluid and also gas are all the products of thousands or even millions of combined atom particles, which further indicates that this law of Tawaf Movement is also applied to the vast majority of objects in this universe:  planets, plants, moons on every planet, star, land, water and so on.  The chair on which we are seated and the computer mouse, also carry atom particles.

Based on the 'Right Hand Rule' which widely used in the applications of Ampere's circuital law, an electric current passes through a solenoid, resulting in a magnetic field. When you wrap your right hand around the solenoid with your fingers in the direction of the conventional current, your thumb points in the direction of the magnetic north pole (Wikipedia). 

The Right Hand Rule dictates that the magnetic field is indirectly able to produce this upward energy.   There is a big possibility that this energy force is the one that causes one’s prayer in Masjidil Haram to be easily answered birthed from the frequent movements of Tawaf Movement performed there for centuries, which produces the energy or prayer waves that move in an upward direction. 

Scientifically speaking, the Tawaf Movement produces the electromagnetic energy that goes upwards. If one wears a watch that rotates following the Tawaf Movement, automatically the person will feel the waves coming towards him or her every time he or she looks at the watch.   

In reality, it is only Allah AlMighty who knows the real secret behind the circling of the movement.  As Muslims, it is definitely not wrong for us to succumb and surrender to the norms of Allah (Fitrah) and His Prophet (Sunnatullah) as we know there must be a lot of good that can be derived from all His wondrous creations. Allah creates the smallest objects like the atoms to the all-enveloping galaxy, and with only one rotation and to only one direction, namely  Tawaf Movement; at the same time, this indicates that it would then be inappropriate for us as the servants of Allah to be using watches that contrast with the  Fitrah or Sunnatullah. 

Let us transform ourselves, transform by using a Watch that is Islam-compliant, change the way we think, from the bad to good and from the world of darkness to blinding light.  Wassalam.

Maverick is a gambler who would rather con someone than fight them. He needs an additional three thousand dollars in order to enter a Winner Take All poker game that begins in a few days. He tries to win some, tries to collect a few debts, and recover a little loot for the reward, all with a light hearted air. He joins forces with a woman gambler with a marvelous, though fake, southern accent as the two both try and enter the game.

Shah Alam: City of serenity

Long ago, Shah Alam was known as Sungai Renggam and is known only as an oil palm estate. Later, the same area was identified as Batu Tiga prior to Malaysian independence, and has been a centre of palm oil trade for centuries.

In 1978, it replaced Kuala Lumpur as the capital city of the state of Selangor due to Kuala Lumpur's incorporation into a Federal Territory. Today, Shah Alam is most famous for its spectacular masjid (mosque). A racing circuit near the city was used for Grand Prix motorcycle racing and was named the 'Shah Alam Motor Paradise', but was demolished in 2003.

Today, the city has a similar urban layout as Petaling Jaya with housing areas occupying most of the city areas (55.2 sq. km.) and commercial centres scattered around the different 'Seksyen' (sections) areas. It has become a showpiece city of the future, free from the inherent problems of haphazard development and shanty towns found in other major growth centers.

Shah Alam is proud to be home to the world’s only agro-forestry park, is a showpiece city and its careful planning is evident everywhere. Which is the green park of Bukit Cahaya. Cultural attractions and several new hotels round out the appeal and attraction of Shah Alam. This city also has a lovely landscaped recreational park with an idyllic lakeside setting and even a “floating” restaurant in the vicinity. Shah Alam also possesses a world-class stadium and sports complex and an international standard racing track. Hailed as one of the most well-planned cities, Shah Alam has most of its residential area on one side of the Federal Highway and industrial zones on the other. • Sultan Salahuhddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque

Selangor's new capital is dominated by the enormous minarets and gleaming blue dome of the State Mosque, Masjid Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah. The enormous aluminium dome is reputed to be among of the largest in the Islamic world. The mosque sits alongside the city's manmade central lake, which is also adjoined by Urban Shah Alam, a beautifully landscaped recreational park. 

When visiting the city, you will certainly be impressed by the beautiful architectural design of the State Mosque, the Masjid Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah. Dominating the entire state capital, this is truly one of the finest mosques to be found anywhere in the world. Completed in 1988, its minarets, at 142.3 meters, are the tallest in the world. Its graceful blue dome is also one of the biggest of its kind. 

Decorative Islamic calligraphy enhances the dome and main prayer hall, while the overall architecture integrates Malay and Moorish design elements. The mosque's pulpit has been executed in carved timber, a masterpiece of local craftsmen from the state of Kelantan. This breathtaking mosque is an awesome sight; you can spot its blue dome - said to be the largest in the world - from quite a distance away.

• Shah Alam Lake Gardens

For relaxation, head for the Shah Alam Lake Gardens. It is the site of annual events such as the International Boat Show and the Selangor Orchid Exhibition. A delightful system of man-made lakes graces the town center. Picnic area dot this well-kept parkland and a floating seafood restaurant stands on the fringes of the lakes.

• State Monument & State Secretariat Building

On a landscaped hill overlooking the town center is the towering 24-story Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah building. Built with elements of traditional Bugis design, it houses the state secretariat and administrative offices of the state government. Just before this is the serene and lovely State Monument with a sweeping arch, reflecting pools and gold inscriptions on gray Selangor granite. Because of its picturesque settings, the State Monument is a favorite location for shutterbugs and tourists.

• Bukit Cahaya Seri Alam Agricultural Park

Better known as the Malaysia Agricultural Park, this is the only agro-forestry in this part of the world. The park is designed in such a way that it affords visitors a glimpse of the country's agricultural resources such as oil palms, padi fields, rubber trees, coconut trees and other fruit trees. All these are set within a luscious tropical rainforest in a scenic 1,290 hectare site, just 1km from Shah Alam town center. Its planner has in mind an open-air university for the dual purpose of recreation and education. Here is a place to learn all about trees by their names!

•  Other attractions

Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM and formerly known as Institut Teknologi MARA or ITM) which is known as Malaysia's affirmative action symbol is located in the state capital. The city also boasts the huge and modern Shah Alam Stadium with a capacity of 81, 000 and 5,500 parking lots where many fairs were held and the stadium is where the Selangor state team plays its football. However, the stadium has fallen into disuse as the standard of the country's football league floundered and the turnout at local matches fell to a mere 1,000 spectators at best.
